1What International Tracking Numbers Look Like
Here are some number styles we have checked. Other senders may use different ones:
13 characters ending in AE (Emirates Post)
For example CP123456789AE. Pakistan Post delivers these parcels once they reach Pakistan.
13 characters ending in US, or 20 to 22 digits (USPS)
For example EA123456789US. After customs in Pakistan, Pakistan Post delivers them.
9 to 11 digits (Aramex)
Most Aramex numbers have 10 or 11 digits. A few partner parcels may include letters.
Usually 12 digits (SMSA Express)
SMSA brings parcels from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, and works with WFI Express in Pakistan.
2Customs Checks in Pakistan
Parcels from abroad are checked by Pakistan Customs before they can be delivered. This can add time.
- Tax or duty: Some items may need import tax or duty. The courier or Pakistan Post will tell you if you need to pay.
- Proof of purchase: You may be asked for a receipt or invoice, so keep your order confirmation.
- Holds: If tracking says a parcel is held by customs, contact the courier that is delivering it in Pakistan.
3Finding the Local Tracking Number
When a parcel from abroad reaches Pakistan, it is often handed to a local courier or Pakistan Post. You may get a new tracking number for this part of the trip:
- Open your order on the shop’s website or app and look at the tracking details.
- Look for a second tracking number or a local courier’s name.
