Where the Tracking Number Is on Your Label or Receipt
Tracking numbers are printed on the air waybill (AWB) or shipping label so they can be scanned. Knowing where to look helps you copy the right number:
Most online orders have a printed sticker label. The tracking number is printed in bold under the main barcode. Other barcodes on the label may be the shop’s own product or return codes, so always use the number under the main courier barcode.
If you book at a courier counter or post office, you get a paper receipt. The tracking number is printed on it, usually near a barcode.
Carrier-by-Carrier Format Specifications
TCS Express & Domestic Cargo
Most TCS tracking numbers are 12 digits. Some older ones start with a letter, such as W followed by 9 digits, or C for business accounts. TCS helpline: (021) 111-123-456.
Leopards Courier Service (LCS) Overnight & Standard
Leopards tracking numbers are 8 to 15 letters and numbers, with no spaces. Some start with letters and some are digits only. We could not confirm what any letter code means, so copy the number exactly as printed. Leopards helpline: 021-111-300-786.
Pakistan Post Universal Postal Union (UPU S10)
Pakistan Post uses the 13-character international postal format for registered and express items: two service letters, nine digits and the country code PK (for example RR123456789PK or EM123456789PK). Helpline: 111-111-117.
PostEx, Call Courier and TRAX
These couriers mostly use digits only. PostEx and Call Courier numbers are usually 11 to 14 digits, and TRAX numbers 12 to 14 digits. The seller’s system makes the number and sends you an SMS when the parcel is sent. PostEx support: (042) 111-786-227.
M&P (Muller & Phipps) Express
M&P tracking numbers are usually 7 to 11 digits, and M&P’s own tracker needs at least 7 digits. Helpline: (021) 111-202-202.
Aramex International and Shop & Ship
Aramex numbers are mostly 9 to 11 digits (often 10 or 11), usually with no letters. For help, call Aramex on (021) 3453-6626.
SMSA Express: Saudi Arabia and the Gulf
SMSA Express numbers are usually 12 digits with no letters. SMSA carries parcels from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf to Pakistan, working with WFI Express inside Pakistan. Support: +966 92000 9999.
China Post Universal Postal Union (UPU S10)
China Post uses the 13-character international postal format: two letters, nine digits and CN at the end. Once a China Post parcel reaches Pakistan, Pakistan Post delivers it. Pakistan Post helpline: 111-111-117.
AliExpress & Cainiao Global Smart Logistics
AliExpress parcels are shipped by Cainiao and partner services, and the tracking number format depends on the shipping option. Copy the number exactly as shown in your AliExpress order. Once the parcel reaches Pakistan, a local courier or Pakistan Post delivers it.
DPD Group European Express Barcodes
DPD parcels from the UK and Europe have their own tracking number, shown in your DPD message and under the barcode on the label. After customs in Pakistan, a local courier delivers the parcel. Copy the number exactly as printed.
Tips to Avoid Tracking Mistakes
Do not add spaces, dashes or brackets when you paste a tracking number. Use only the letters and digits.
When copying from a photo, check look-alike characters, such as capital “O” and zero (“0”), or small “l” and one (“1”).
A new number may not show anything for a few hours after the shop sends it, until the courier scans the parcel.
