When you send an order, you get a tracking number. Set up a scheduled job to check POST /v1/track every few hours. Then send the buyer a WhatsApp or SMS message when the status changes to Out for Delivery, so they are ready to receive the parcel.

Developer API Questions

Common questions about setting up, signing in and growing with TrackMyParcel

How do I get an API key?

Sign in and open your developer dashboard at trackmyparcel.pk/dashboard/api-keys. Create an application to get a secret key that starts with sk_live_. Send it in the HTTP Authorization header as a Bearer token.

Which couriers can I track with the API?

The API covers 25+ Pakistani and international couriers, including TCS, Leopards, PostEx, TRAX (Sonic), Call Courier, M&P, Pakistan Post, Daewoo, FastEx, blueEX, Daraz Express, Rider, Fly Courier, Do Deliver, Tranzo, NK Fulfilment, TTS, DHL, FedEx, UPS, Emirates Post, USPS, Aramex, SMSA Express, China Post, AliExpress and DPD.

Do I have to tell the API which courier it is?

No, the courier is optional. If you leave it out, we look at the tracking number’s format and ask the most likely couriers and our backup sources.

How do credits work?

You pay with credits from your account. A successful lookup uses credits (1 or 2, depending on the source). A lookup that fails, such as a number that is not found, uses no credits.

Can I use the API with Shopify or WooCommerce?

Yes. Call the API from a scheduled job, a webhook or a store plugin. You can then show updates such as out for delivery, delivered or returned on your order pages, or send them to buyers by SMS.

What does the API send back?

JSON. Each courier update is turned into a standard step, such as booked, in transit, out for delivery, delivered or a problem. Each step has an ISO 8601 time, the city where known, and a cleaned-up note.
